COMACOMP
Comacomp is the association of Italian components manufacturers formed within Federunacoma, the national Federation
of manufacturers of agricultural, earthmoving and gardening machinery – an extremely large and articulated industrial
sector present worldwide and particularly in Italy, distinguished for its high level of dynamism and innovation.
the production represented by the association, supplied to oems or sold as spare parts for machines, can be broken down
into the following macroareas:
mechanical components (Pto driveshafts, final drives and speed increasers, gearboxes, freewheels, clutches, axles, etc.);
hydraulic components (cylinders, pumps, motors, valves, etc.);
electronic components (electrical systems and wiring, electronic control and monitoring devices, GPs systems, on-
board computers and instruments, etc.);
miscellaneous components (tracks, cabs, seats, brake systems, chassis, three-point hitches, etc.);
irrigation components (hoses, fittings, filters, pumps, sprinklers, accessories, etc.);
crop protection components (booms, pumps, fans, filters, control units, nozzles, etc.).
the Italian components industry has developed hand in hand with the agricultural, earthmoving and gardening machinery
industry in a spirit of collaboration that starts in the design and product engineering stage and that, combined with intense
research work, underpins a vast range of highly specialised products that have achieved international recognition in each
production sector.
Components and integrated component systems, created through the interaction of mechanical engineering, hydraulics
and electronics, play an increasingly strategic role in the developmental process of the technological innovations that
distinguish the machines in each sector in terms of reliability, performance, energy efficiency, environmental friendliness and
operator safety.
Comacomp’s specific goals include increasing the level of focus of certain of the association’s initiatives in the following
areas: internationalisation and promotion on foreign markets; organisation of specific conferences and seminars and events
hosted at trade fairs; stimulating research projects that promote collaboration between member companies and research
institutes; assistance and consultancy for technical and normative matters.
through Federunacoma surl, Comacomp helps to define the organisational and promotional aspects of the “eImA
Components” event, launched at the time of eImA International 2008, which constitutes a unique showcase in the
components universe in terms of product range and representativeness and which draws the most exhibitors of all
international events in the sector.
Comacomp represents approximately 80 manufacturing companies with a combined production value of € 1.5 billion in
2015, of which around 80% generated from export sales, and employing a workforce of around 8,500.
